The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts India’s most prestigious examinations to recruit candidates for top government services like IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, and other Group A & Group B services. The UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) is held annually and comprises three stages – Prelims, Mains, and Interview (Personality Test). Eligibility Criteria
Nationality: Indian citizens for IAS & IPS. For other services, certain exceptions for subjects of Nepal, Bhutan, or Tibetan refugees exist.
Age Limit: Generally 21 to 32 years, with age relaxations for OBC (3 years), SC/ST (5 years), and other categories.
Educational Qualification: Graduation from a recognized university. Final-year students can also apply.
Attempts Allowed: 6 for General, 9 for OBC, and unlimited for SC/ST (within age limits).
