Before we discuss AIR FORCE EXAMS Let’s talk about first what is CDS&SSC-CGL?
The Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) twice a year for recruitment into the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Indian Air Force Academy (IAFA) and Officers Training Academy (OTA). The examination is open to candidates with a graduation degree from a recognized university and meeting the age and physical requirements. The CDS Examination consists of a written test and an interview. The written test consists of three papers: English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics.
The interview is conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB) and is designed to assess the candidate’s suitability for a career in the armed forces. Candidates who pass the written test and interview are eligible for admission to the respective academies, depending on their performance and the number of vacancies available. The training at the academies lasts for a varying duration depending on the arm of the service selected. CDS is a good opportunity for graduates who are looking for a career in the Indian armed forces as an officer. It is a highly competitive examination and requires a lot of preparation and dedication to clear.
SSC-CGL
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Combined Examination is a recruitment examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) to fill various non-gazetted posts in various Ministries/Departments/Organizations of the Government of India. The examination is open to candidates who hold a graduation degree from a recognized university and meet the age and physical requirements.
The SSC Combined Examination consists of two parts: a written test and a skill test/interview. The written test is divided into two papers: Paper I and Paper II.
Paper I tests the candidate’s knowledge of General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension.
Paper II tests the candidate’s knowledge of the relevant subject.
The skill test/interview is conducted to assess the candidate’s proficiency in the relevant skill or trade, and to evaluate the candidate’s suitability for the post applied for. The skill test/interview is of a qualifying nature and the marks obtained in this test are not considered for final selection.
Candidates who pass the written test and skill test/interview are eligible for appointment to the respective posts, depending on their performance and the number of vacancies available. The SSC Combined Examination is a good opportunity for graduates who are looking for a career in the Government of India as a non-gazetted officer.
