Agniveer Vayu is a four‑year Agnipath Yojana service in the Indian Air Force (IAF). Selected candidates serve under a unique rank, with an opportunity—up to 25%—to transition into the permanent cadre based on performance
Eligibility Criteria
Age: 17½–21 years (e.g. born between 2 July 2005–2 January 2009)
Nationality: Indian citizen
Marital Status: Unmarried
Education:
Science: 10+2 with Physics, Math & English (≥ 50%) or 3‑year engineering diploma (≥ 50%)
Non‑Science: 10+2 or 2‑year vocational (≥ 50%) with English (≥ 50%)
Physical & Medical Standards:
Height ≥ 152.5 cm, chest ≥ 77 cm (+5 cm expansion), vision 6/12 (correctable to 6/6), normal hearing, dental standards
